Diversity Week 2019 - 2020

Diversity Week

November 2019

A Celebration Of Diversity In Our School Community

Each class celebrated the different nationalities of the children in the class and the different languages that they spoke at home.

During the week the children:

  • Researched the different countries
  • Listened to traditional tales from those countries
  • Had a go at some traditional crafts

The children also talked about their families nationalities and taught their friends how to say hello and good bye in their home languages.

Every child in school made a bobble character to represent themselves.

Throughout the school we all thought about why diversity is important and what makes us all unique and special.

During a whole school Collective Worship we created our school tree.  Every child wrote a sentence about themselves on a leaf and then stuck the leaf on the tree.

The tree shows that although we are all different we are all important members of our school community.
